Aquaponics

Aquaponics is a combination of aquaculture and hydroponics. In this resilient method of farming, the waste that is produced by the fish in the system provides nutrients for the plants that in turn purify the water used in the system. Aquaponics uses 90 percent less water than traditional farming methods and is is a much more sustainable means of production. Check out this video from Growing Power to learn more about how it works.
